Blue Pants Brewery brought home another round of victories following the Beverage Tasting Institute (BTI) English Style Ales competition. The brewery received a Gold medal for the first ever batch of their Cream Ale, a Silver medal for their Dry Hopped Pale Ale, and Bronze medals for their Hop Bursted IPA and their American Amber Ale. Alabev, an Alabama-based craft beer distributor, congratulated Blew Pants Brewery on its success.
“When it comes to craft brewing, Alabama truly has the recipe for success,” stated Harry Kampakis, owner of Alabev. “Thanks to award-winning breweries like Blue Pants, Alabama is the one of the fastest growing craft markets in the country. We are honored to partner with industry pillars like Blue Pants Brewery and are glad we are able to distribute their beers to Alabamians thirsty to help them celebrate.”
BTI described Blue Pant’s Gold medal winner as a “very nice cream ale with good vibrancy and length” with a “bright, brilliant clear, golden yellow color”. Their Pale Ale was said to have “a nice punchy, hoppy pale ale that will be versatile”. The two Bronze medal winners also received salutatory comments.
These four medals bring Blue Pants’ 2015 medal count up to nine. Earlier this year Blue Pants Brewery won three other Gold medals; one for their IPA at the 2015 International Craft Competition and two for their Pinstripe Coffee Stout and their Oak-Aged Barleywine at the 2015 World Beer Championships.
