Stone celebrates 19th anniversary with Australian-hopped Thunderstruck IPA

For Stone Brewing‘s 19th Anniversary release, the brewery decided to give craft beer fans this side of the equator an electrifying taste of Australia’s brewing scene and pay tribute to a hard-working, hard-rocking band. This new double IPA owes its considerable oomph to a quartet of Australian hops—Topaz and Galaxy, plus newcomers Ella and Vic Secret. Every bit of the malt bill is made up of an Australian variety that was shipped in solely for this celebratory ale, which has striking notes of pineapple, mango, citrus and peach and hint of herbal dankness.
