Rising Tide Brewing Co. is starting to lock up the Northeast portion of the country. The Portland, Maine, brewery signed distribution deals for the state of Vermont last month and now has started offering beers through four distributors in New Hampshire as well.
Rising Tide has partnered with New Hampshire Distributors, Bellavance Beverage Co., Clarke Distributors and White Mountain Distributors to allow for statewide distribution.
“We are very excited that our beer is now available throughout northern New England,” said Co-owner Heather Sanborn. “As we head into the busy summer season, we are planning to add additional production capacity to meet demand from our new markets in Vermont and New Hampshire and accommodate the growth we’re seeing in Massachusetts and Maine.”
Rising Tide is, well, rising like the tide. It started in 2010 with a 1-barrel (bbl) brewing system and has been on the move ever since: adding a custom-built, 15-bbl brew house in a 5,000-sq-ft facility in Portland in 2012. The expansion increased the brewery’s production capacity from about 15 bbls a month to about 120 bbls a month.
