To kick off 2015 on a big note, No-Li Brewhouse released a new addition to its seasonal Expo Series – Big Bang Barley Wine Ale.
Characteristic of the Extra Special Malt used to brew it, this deep red, full-bodied beer presents a complex array of dry roasted, caramel and toasted marshmallow notes. Grapefruit and pine flavors from Chinook and Cascade hops provide a sharp contrast to the malty sweetness – leaving you with a bottle of balanced perfection.
“The Expo Series gives us a chance to brew beers that we’ve always thought about brewing, but for one reason or another, haven’t been able to,” explains Damon Scott, No-Li head brewer. “More importantly, it allows us to brew with really unique ingredients that you haven’t seen in other No-Li beers. We’re letting the seasonal line up serve as a platform for innovation and experimentation. Winter Warmer is the only beer people will recognize. Everything else will be completely new.”
Big Bang Barley Wine will be available through March.
