Brooklyn Brewery’s Garrett Oliver talks exporting with KeyKeg

Brooklyn Brewery is one of the top craft brewers here in the United States, but it’s also the craft industry’s top exporter — about 30 percent of the company’s business comes internationally. Pretty interesting strategy, and in the above video, you can see Garrett Oliver, GM and head of sales, discuss sending beer overseas as well as a ton more with the good folks at KeyKeg.

KeyKeg, a supplier of one-way plastic kegs, works with Brooklyn Brewery to meet some of its lofty international export goals. Primarily used in Europe, KeyKeg is making a bigger push for use in the United States with the construction of a KeyKeg Slimline production line outside of Chicago that is now underway. KeyKeg’s 20 Slimline has been nominated for the 2014 German Packaging Award, in the Industrial Packaging category, and the German Design Award, in the packaging category.
